I have always wanted to learn to make corsets. I am a Fashion student and we don ‘t do corsets. I think it would be amazing to make a victorian corset. My favourite era!

  2. Cindy-Lou says:

I would LOVE to take the class, and need a new corset for our reenacting gigs since, I’ve, er…”grown” a little since my last corset. Unfortunately, I am in a financially bad place right now and can’t afford the entry fee. Your generosity is truly wonderful, even if I don’t win!

I would love to win a spot in your Victorian Corset class. I want to learn more about making corsets. I made an Edwardian corset once, and did pretty well for on my own. But a Victorian corset has shaping and boning issues that are unique, and I would love to have a guide. I would have bought a place in the class if I could afford one. I have followed your blog for a while, and have loved the insight you bring to Historical clothing and costuming.

  4. Sarah says:

I have been studying up on making corsets for about six months and have recently purchased the all supplies. However, it would be wonderful to learn how to properly FIT the corset and to see the proper techniques on how to construct it. I am building my Civil War wardrobe from the inside out, after having NOT done it several years ago. I have since learned the great importance of doing this and am really excited to move ahead!

  5. Lindsey says:

I’m fairly new to historical costuming for myself. I work at a museum where I do living history interpretations in ill-fitting garb. I’ve got a few projects in the works and would love to learn from someone who knows what’s going on! So far, I’m self-taught, which leads me down some pretty ridiculous paths from time to time. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  6. Elune says:

Oh, that would be so great! I am currently trying my hand at sewing a Regency long stay, but Victorian corsets are very interesting too. ^_^ Thank you and good luck every one!

Corsetry has always scared me! I have a pattern for Victorian corsets but I have never been brave enough to attempt it. It would be a dream to have someone walk me through the process.

  8. April says:

It would be so much FUN and such a challenge to take on the MAKING of a corset–especially since my older teen girls and I have been discovering the versatility of them lately. What a great skill, to make your own! πŸ™‚
Also, April is kind of “MY” month.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

As a seamstress, I want very much to hone my craft and make a more informed product for myself and my customers πŸ™‚

  10. Deborah Karen Fillmer says:

I have been unable to take the course thus far, as times are tight and money is scarce. I have plenty of materials/fabrics collected, but just haven’t been able to click submit on the registration. Your costuming courses look so wonderful and I would truly love to take this one in particular. If I win, I will be over the moon, if not, I will eventually click that button… Thanks for the opportunity to try for a seat. Happy Sewing!!

  11. Rae says:

Thank you so much for holding this giveaway! I’ve made really bad corsets in the past, but I really want to up my game for one to wear in my wedding this summer, and currently have a sort of deer-in-the-headlights “where do I start” face on.

  12. Kiyoshi says:

I think it would be great to win the giveaway because even though I’ve tried to make a corset before, it didn’t go well. I believe that it would be helpful to sew alongside others and be able to ask questions of many others, rather than just a few. πŸ™‚ Also it might help me get back into sewing, haha!
