Thank you so much for sharing all your tips, tricks and knowledge. It really gives us novices a lot of courage and inspiration to tackle new projects. Your 7 Strategies for Shopping Chain Store Fabrics really opened my eyes and tested my research. I was so close to ordering VERY EXPENSIVE reproduction fabric online, but armed with your tips and coupon in hand I scored big at JoAnn’s. Didn’t feel that I compromised on anything I purchased either. Thanks a million!

Thank you Jennifer as I’m new to this but I do follow you on line and I’ve only just started to sew period costume. It’s mainly from the Truly Victorian range. I’m an avid Country and Western fan and try to make my own costumes as a lot of my friends do too. Your articles on sewing are a great help to me so thank you once again. I’m in the UK by the way. xxxx

Would you please send me an e-mail when registration opens for your hat class. I have made several hats and they just don’t come out as good as I would like.

I so enjoyed your corset class. Your tips and tricks were fabulous. They have benefited me in my regular sewing projects.

I am a novice costumer after “bitting the bullet” and making an 1860 period dress complete with mutton sleeves and full hoop skirt. So I follow websites like “Historical Sewing” and realize I have many techniques as well as styles to learn. Yes, I’ve mastered bonnet making and have made any to sell under my business name “Bytowne Bonnets”. Thanks for putting together such an inspirational website where I hope to post one of my bonnet pictures one day soon. Sheila Percival

Yay for taking the risk to just dive in and learn Sheila! Isn’t it fun? I’m still learning as well from so many great people in our community. I think that’s what makes it worthwhile – sharing with each other. Best of luck with your bonnet business!
