Thank you for this information
Jennifer, looking forward to seeing you again, don’t know if you came to Gaslight Gathering in San Diego this past weekend…if you did, I hope you had a great time! If not, let’s do another panel together, I’ve heard from attendees they really enjoyed our presentation last year!
Thank so much for your continued great articles and posts! Every day I learn from you!
Best always,
Sandra Deakins
Hi Sandra! No I wasn’t able to go to Gaslight this year – maybe next year! And I would totally do another panel with you.
Here’s to seeing you again no matter when or where, you’re a pleasure to work with! If you’re ever in San Diego drop me a line privately we can do lunch and fabric shopping or, whatever….I can be a tour guide! Thanks again for all you do…take care and sorry we missed you, hopefully we’ll have Gaslight 2013….jury’s still out, will let you know.
Hugs and smiles!
Sandra
I very much appreciate the tips you share each news letter. They are so helpful!
I am a novice costumer after “bitting the bullet” and making an 1860 period dress complete with mutton sleeves and full hoop skirt. So I follow websites like “Historical Sewing” and realize I have many techniques as well as styles to learn. Yes, I’ve mastered bonnet making and have made any to sell under my business name “Bytowne Bonnets”. Thanks for putting together such an inspirational website where I hope to post one of my bonnet pictures one day soon. Sheila Percival
Yay for taking the risk to just dive in and learn Sheila! Isn’t it fun? I’m still learning as well from so many great people in our community. I think that’s what makes it worthwhile – sharing with each other. Best of luck with your bonnet business!

Would you please send me an e-mail when registration opens for your hat class. I have made several hats and they just don’t come out as good as I would like.
I so enjoyed your corset class. Your tips and tricks were fabulous. They have benefited me in my regular sewing projects.
