Hello! I am preparing for our SF Dickens Fair. I was fortunate to find several fur hats, white and two brown at a thrift shop vintage sale. Are this at all period? They are round with fabric tops and fur sides. Just checking.
Without actually seeing them I would think they would be out of place. But I haven’t researched hats with fur for 19th C. clothing. Are they furry, as in furry/fluffy fur? Or smooth like beaver fur top hats? If they are smooth like a wool but from fur, they will be closer to period. But again, really not sure from my experience.
The dress on the right is beautiful!
