By the way, it’s not difficult to change the shape of a starched straw hat form. Just steam it over a tea kettle and reshape as desired. Be careful not to burn your hands, though! To get the shape you wanted for this one, you’d need to use something as a form to reshape the straw. A small cake pan would probably work well.
