Thanks for listening, Skye!
And YES to Ott lights! I recently got a table one with magnifier and LOVE it. Especially for working on black or other dark fabrics.

I’ve gotten back into historical sewing after a few years away and it definitely helps my goal of constructing better outfits.

One tool that I find wonderfully helpful is my Ott light. I have a clip-on one for my sewing machine and a bendy neck one for doing close work/hand sewing. These bad boys allow me to see what I’m doing well into the evening hours without having to strain my eyes so much.

I can’t do anything without it!!! I HATE finishing edges so when I got it I was like HALLELUJAH!!!!

I also cannot sew without my seam gauge. I also think that the piping foot is one of my favorite feet. Another sewing tool I love is my wrist pin cushion. I was taught to sew with one. I love that my pins are always right with me.

Thanks. You know, when I went to put in the Amazon link here I saw that it was discontinued. Apparently there’s still some stock left though. Glad to hear the Thread Magic is similar. I LOVE my Thread Heaven!

However, there is a similar (nearly the same, in my opinion) product called Thread Magic…sold at Joann’s and online.
